some were captivated by art
others were bred to be smart
some were born for the spotlight
others were lives lost in the fight
some were given a magnificent gift
others became another name on a long list
some have fulfilled a long awaited dream
others have been shriveled apart, just like an old seam
and over the years the lightbulb has started to flicker out
and I hope I will get to meet the one that will end the drought
but few posses the sacred title
and the characteristics that are all so vital
