The truth about love
“Love”
There is nothing you can say
or do to describe love
is it a gift? is it a curse?
it all depends on how you look at it
Love is a incurable disease
it poisons the soul and mind
once you are infected
there’s no going back
most people see love in a different way
heart shaped candies and blooming red roses
but is that what love is all about?
love goes so much deeper than that
showing love to someone is the best gift there is
but like all good things there’s a catch
love can be like a venomous snake
it causes pain worse than a knife to the heart
Are you willing to pay the price for love?

This poem was inspired by a book I read called Delirium. In the book, love is a disease and when your eighteen years old they cure you from it.
