One Day He'll See
One Day he’ll see…
I woke to Darkness
I must’ve fell asleep crying…again
Because of you
I have something to say
Why would I want to meet a man
Who never write’s
Who never call’s
Who never cared
Who never tried
I’m sick of crying over him, a man I’ve never even met.
One day he’ll see
I already see
One day he’ll love me.
Like I did
One day he’ll cry over me
Like I did with him so many nights
One day he’ll want me.
One day he’ll want to be a dad!
But it’s too late because I’ve stopped
Loving him
Seeing him
Crying over him
Wanting Him
Needing a Dad
Thanks to you I have abandonment issues
I have trouble trusting
I can’t even utter the word dad without wanting to SCREAM
I’ve stopped waiting for you to get over yourself,
But it’s clear that’s not going to happen
One day you’ll Love me
But I won’t love you.
