Take my hand, walk beside me.

Guild me through the shadows.

I'm fearful, that's true, but I'll keep going.

It's not over.

I'll keep walking, with you in my shadow.

Let me ask you something, creature so fond of me.

Do you find the slightest pleasure from my company?

I'm ecstactic, truely, that I enchant you so much.

So go ahead, keep beside me.

Hidden within my shadow.

But I wonder, dearest acquaintance, if you lack your own soul.

Are you lonely?

Are you scared, are you cold?

It must get lonesome to walk so long without another,

to keep your head tilted towards the ground and your eyes shut.

Forgive, it's cruel.

But perhaps you need your own shadow.

Release my hand, in kindness, and allow me to step away.

The path has divided, it's time to let go.

Move on, have hope.

You'll grow and find another.

Sweet creature, so loving and lonesome.

I'll take my leave.

Hold firm, head held high, and walk the path I've left behind.

Be strong, little creature. You will find your way.

This is a really great poem. I loved when you talked about the shadow.
