Cicadas singing, lacy dresses,

hair flowing in long, free tresses.

 

Pools, beaches, laughter, fun,

gentle kisses from the sun.

 

Secrets told under the moon,

birds chirp their sweet, soft tunes.

 

Popsicles make a sticky treat,

ice cream helps to beat the heat.

 

To wake up really late each day:

ah, summer!

You're here to stay!
