I lay still in a location between sleep and wake. My eyes open, staring in front of me. Immobile, not able to see the intangible darkness lurking silently. Hiding in the corners of a room overtaken by light. But as time passes, the waves keep rolling. Until they crash upon the shore. The sun rises then sets as the trees and nature shed leaves and happiness to the ever fading sun. Clinging on to what they have left for just a short while. Sinking, deeper and deeper into the darkness. Finally fully engulfed. The wolves proceed howl, yet the people cower at the arrival of the darkness. Fearful of the thought of deception. They whimper as they separate themselves from the souls accepting the darkness. Allowing the darkness to rebuild the foundation of the hopeful mindset. Allowing the darkness to bear the crown. But rise, as the sun always will. Together made strong, fight the darkness. Avenge the Light.
