My Best Friend
Albert was his name
My childhood friend he became
We created memories I will never forget
Such as playing Mario Kart and watching Pokémon on his television set
Basketball, stick ball, fishing, Nintendo DS, manhunt, football, tree climbing and even skating
All activities we ended up never hating
Our friendship was strengthened with a bow
It was always sad to see him go
Sometimes he left me to do math or play piano
Things I still do not know
He one day left and moved to a new town
Who knew that I would never again see him around
No more cutting through neighbors yards or dingdong ditching
Or eating real Chinese food with his family in the kitchen
Simple things that I will always end up missing
He has moved on now doing bigger and better things
Our friendship is lost not even being held up by strings
I hope one day we will meet again
Before our life’s come to an end
