Bands
It’s strange how one band can have such a huge impact on your life. Most people push it off as a silly little obsession. But that silly obsession could be what’s keeping your son or daughter alive. You take that band away from them, it’s like taking away their oxygen. Every single thing that band does brings them further and further into your heart. You strive to know every single word of every single album, you research their past, you try so hard to save money just to get a ticket to a concert. They become etched into your mind. They all say it’s just a phase or you’ll forget about them once someone better comes along. But they’re so wrong. You will always remember . Even when you’re 40, 50, 60 years old. You’ll be sitting in a nursing home, or wherever you are, and you’ll start thinking about your past. You’ll remember that one band that saved you. A tear or two might fall because you remember that feeling you got when they released a new single or when you saw new pictures. You might laugh a little remembering how excited you got when you heard about the band coming to your town or when you went into a store and saw their merchandise. You’ll always remember that silly little obsession that took a small place in your heart.

Music has always been a part of my life and it always will be. Adults sometimes think that "fangirling" is immature and is just a phase, but it's not a phase. It sticks with you throughout your life and I wanted to point that out.
