Walls
These walls that stand,
watching me,
oh how I wish you could talk.
Oh how I wish you could speak,
about all the scenes you have witnessed,
and the scenes you have seen.
From love affairs,
to bright blue stares,
oh walls, tell us all.
How she was killed by the teenage dream,
or how he was attacked at only eighteen.
Walls, walls,
won't you tell us all,
the things you have heard, the things you have seen,
from dirty curtains to murder scences.
Walls walls, tell us all,
about that crying baby without a father,
that disappointed grandmother without her daughter.
Walls, walls, tell us all,
about that no-good alcoholic,
locking away all the goodness in life,
while releasing his pain.
Walls, walls, maybe you can keep that all to yourself.

Sometimes, these nights come along where I cannot sleep. I'll end up falling asleep as the sun rises, and maybe thats alright. It's around 5am and I'm still awake just staring at the walls on my living room, wondering about all the people who have lived in this house before me. Therefore, I just grapped some paper and a broken pencil, and all these ideas and words just started flowing through my brain, like a flower just ready to pop open, I write. Anyways, enjoy!
