The one percent
There are many
But she is the one.
Who sleeps during the day
But wakes to make their pay.
Not by choice
But because she has no voice.
She is forced to stay
And can never get away.
If she runs
They will find her.
If she hides
They will seek her.
She is their slave.
Who always listened and gave.
She is the product of being a sex slave.

This piece is about the one percent of sex slaves that get saved. I recently learned about how real the issue of sex trafficking is. Did you know that in the 21st century slavery is more popular than it has ever been in the past! It is that fastest growing crime, and it generates an estimated amount of 23 billion dollars a year. I wanted to share this news because up until the other day I had no idea that slavery was still very popular and a very real thing.
