Drowning
This isn't Sadness that I feel
For no tears have I shed.
The only thing I feel
Are depths that separate me
From Happiness.
Those watching from above,
Can you see me down below?
Or are the waters too murky
For you to see past
your own reflection.
Perhaps it is your eyes that are blurred
Or your mind what is clouded,
For I am sinking here
In the tide that encases
my heart.
Oxygen?
Never heard of it.
Pain is what I breathe.
Surely that is why my lungs
Are too heavy for the sea
Of emotions that drags me
Deep below.
This isn't Sadness that I feel
For no tears have I shed.
This is Pain deep inside
Which I haven't yet bled.
