This Time of Year
This time of year.
The air is just a little colder.
Your skin is just a little paler.
Your cheeks are just a little redder.
Where did this snow come from?
Where did fall go?
Where did summer go?
This time of year.
You're thankful.
You're joyous.
You're determined.
But shouldn't you always be?
Why does there have to be a special occasion,
for you to live the way you always should?
Change it.
Tell your parents you're thankful for them when they least expect it.
Spend time with your family when they least expect it.
Change the way you live life when you least expect it.
Change it.
This time.
