Sticks and Stones
I am not my skin,
I am not my pins.
I am not my clothes,
and I am not my bones.
I may seem like
I'm picking for a fight,
but I am not those souls.
I am not my bones.
They may seem like
all bark and no bite,
but that's not right.
I am not strong.
I am not my bones.

This is a vent poem about the struggles of being bullied. Children and teens' words may seem like "all bark and no bite",but words can hurt, and even kill. With this poem I hope to raise awareness about mental illnesses, such as depression, caused by being bullied.
