A Spring Morning

Walking up a steep trail
Trees all around
A slight chill in the air
Climbing farther and farther
Crossing over streams with slippery rocks
I reach the top after a long climb
There’s a grass clearing
The sun’s shining bright
There’s not a cloud in the sky
At the far end there’s a cliff
Looking out above the trees
I see the tops of skyscrapers
