All I remember
Are dark figures in the distance
Figures of obscure license plates and run down tires
Wanting to follow it down the road
Just to see where it goes
See if they come back home

But I don't want to find out at all
I don't want to know where he fell off the edge of the earth
And I don't want to go searching for answers
Cuz I know I won't like what they bring
Ill just keep the shadows, those dark figurines where they belong
In the basement packed away

Don't you remember
Black cars and chalk streaks
Painting with fruit on the kitchen floor
Or has your mind been made into an empty canvas
With whiteout and white gesso paint
What happens when you peel it off

But I don't want to find out at all
I don't want to know why you painted over the freshly painted wall
And I don't want to go searching for answers
Cuz I know I won't like what they bring
I'll just keep those hidden pictures, compressed  paintings where they belong, right where I left them.

Because it's what I choose to forget
All the terror that led to the dead-man-walking
What I choose to forget
Are the backpacks and Lillies and tickling, Hoboken bagels, and hands
And I'll leave them where they are
Pretend that I have forgotten where I buried them

And I don't want to remember at all
Don't want to remember where this fell off the edge of the earth
Don't want go searching for answers i already know
I'll just keeps those shadows, those dark figurines in the basement
I'll keep the paintings covered in whiteout

So that all I remember
... Doesn't include you
