Five years of age

Pigtails and dresses

Happy as can be

As her mom cleans up her messes

In school she plays

With her two best friends

Playing hide and seek

Until the bell determines recess's end

Ten years later

At the age of fifteen

Her life has turned around

As she has become a teen

Her father has died

Her mother is depressed

School causes anxiety

Her whole life is stressed

Friends have come

And friends have gone

But at least her and her sister

Still get along

Two years later

Shes a junior in school

Her sister is a sophomore

Whos not considered "cool"

Her sister gets bullied

Her sister is depressed

How can she help her?

She is even more stressed

One year later

Her sister has died

Her mother is hopeless

There is no one left by her side

Six months later

She meets such a man

He is sweet and charming

As he takes her hand

He turns her life completely around

Giving her courage and happiness

Making her personality loud

She is always smiling, ear to ear

She could'nt imagine how much could change

In just one year

She entered highschool stressed

She was sad and alone

She graduates confident

She has finally found her home

He gave both her and her mother

Courage, hope and love

He made them love eachother

And gave happiness to their angels above

I was inspired to write this piece by several movies and TV shows that I have watched. I hope people get a sence of hope from this poem. I hope they understand that no matter how bad life gets, it can always get better, no matter what.
