Silence

"Silence"
You give me a glare,
it seems without a care.
I blink it away,
today is not the day.
I silence the monster in my mind,
I must stay calm this time.
Indeed I do,
but you saw through,
the mask I put upon myself.
Dark as sin,
insecure as hell.
I whimper my way through my shell,
introvert is the word to define myself.
But I am like a butterfly,
hide in my cocoon-like shell.
To escape the real world; hell.
But one day I will escape,
this deathly unruly fate.
I shush the monster in my mind.
It is not time.
