The Blue Balloon

A boy walks in Central Park
A blue balloon in his hand
He loosens his grip and the balloon takes flight
It goes higher and higher
Higher than the trees
Higher than the skyskrapers
Until it is a blue dot in the sky
The string dangles down
The boy watches as it diappears into oblivion
