A Child's Mind
Once upon a child's mind
Is a new, secret world of captivating clouds
In massive mounds
And endless hopes that anyone can easily find.
A rabbit over a moon
Or rockets traveling through space
Could be two dreams found all in one place.
Perhaps even the simplest, such as balloons,
Can be included with these things?
One hopscotch, two hopscotch,
Three and there's more?
What could possibly be at the end
Of all these fantasies galore?
An artist's palette or a technician's tools to
Castles with dragons or other imaginary thoughts possibly born
Could all fit into an innocent mind
And nourish and grow into its tree of life.
