South Coast
The thickness of pure beloved blue is the thing I remember the most. Water sparkled like crystal tears from the sun crying with joy during the day. Oh how it sparkled. The cushion under your feet was like a dog’s fur. Soft and fluffy like the clouds above. The sky was much like the water. It was a marble. We were stuck inside this magnificent marble much like a snow globe. The old man laid and hid under the dog’s fur. Asleep with his feet buried underneath. Peaceful and pleasant as he was, he was quietly awoken to the sound of the crash. The waves hit land like a thousand tiny claps going off at once. The heat was sweet and warm. The suns laughter of joy I would call it. Laughter would bounce off the dog’s fur and land softly upon my skin. The moon hidden away created such a glamorous show. Like the silent writer uncredited in a master piece cinema. The waves circled and hurtled in spectacular form. Blue crashed into peaks of white creating an astonishing and enlightening picture. “Bravo.” Said the old man. As he clapped his hands, mimicking the waves crashing against the dog’s fur.
