Life as water
Life,
Is a drop of water,
Falling into a still pond,
That is reality.
The effects ripple outwards,
But don’t reach the edge,
And soon disappear,
Absorbed into the pond.
When people’s ripples meet,
They cancel each other out,
Because life,
Ends life.
What is beyond?
None can say.
How does a drop,
Escape the pool?
Are we one,
Among many?
Or is this,
all there is?
Is this pond,
A mighty sea,
Extending infinitely,
Endless and eternal?
Or is this a puddle,
To be stomped in,
By greater beings,
Who do not care?
Are we in a bowl,
And trapped in a container,
Soon to be tipped,
and emptied out?
How can we know?
We are a part,
Of the whole.
Irrelevant.
Our existence is brief,
We fade away.
New drops,
Will ripple the pond.
