What are dreams?
Are they glimpses of time,
or just a random mass of sounds and pictures?
Perhaps they are things long since forgotten,
fighting their way back into your sub-conscious,
refusing to become just another déjà vu moment.
Maybe they are a way of the brain keeping itself entertained
while reality slowly becomes more and more of a pressure
placed upon the shoulders of individuals
who are incapable of bearing such a weight,
but can do nothing to lessen it.
Distractions for the people
who are expected to do the very best at everything,
but are not given the proper means to do so.
How can you make something perfect
if you yourself are not perfect?
It is an unattainable goal largely emphasized by society,
that for generations,
has shredded the self-esteem of the nation.
