It Was 2002
It was 2002.
We were young, bright-eyed.
Many of us were squirming in excitement-
Others, in dread.
We were only 5 years old,
But we were ready to tackle the world-
One nap at a time.
Time.
Time.
Time was all we had then.
We had twelve long years of sitting in classrooms
Ahead of us.
Years.
Years.
Years have passed and here we are,
Still squirming in these classrooms.
Only now, we are a new kind of young.
We are 18 years young.
Every breath we breathe, filled with anticipation-
Both excitement and dread.
And
Now.
Now.
Now, it's 2015 and the world-
It's ours to tackle.
