Demons
My demons are coming back
This time nothing they lack
They don't hide at home anymore
They follow me through every door
I can see them in the shadows hiding
I can feel them in the shadows lurking
Just when I think they're gone
I realize they've been here all along
My demons hold me back from better things
I listen to the poisonous melodies they sing
They caress me back inside
Inside the place I hide
I wish it was easy to let them go
For once to tell them no
To leave their trap
And close the gap
One thing about them that I hate
They are not all just traits
They are the faces I see everyday
The ones who claim to love me day by day
