Ever since I was young
    Around 5 years old
    I had a feeling in my heart
    It was a daydream in kindergarten
    And it was that I was tall
    I knew this was true.
    I was taller than Erik Davis

    As I got older
    People became taller
    And I became shorter
    But still, I knew
    I was taller than Erik Davis

    It is now 8th grade
    And I am writing this poem
    Erik is sitting next to me
    Writing his poem
    About how he is shorter than me
    It’s just a reminder
    For me to know
    That I’m taller than Erik Davis
