The Bridge
I walk across the sturdy-looking bridge.
I think I am safe,
From the water that once,
Took my breath of life away.
I take my first steps onto the bridge.
I walk without a care.
It is not until I am in the middle,
Too far to be save,
That I hear the wooden boards laugh at me.
I'm trapped.
The bridge collapses.
My safety departs with the blowing wind.
The cold water snatches away my sense of sanity.
The rushing water takes me away.
I cannot be saved anymore.
I've been a fool.
I've drown once again.
