Rapid Shift
  irst I'm here
  Then I'm there
Not a second between do I have to spare
  A moment up
  A moment down
A fleeting smile turned into a frown
  First I see hope
  Then I turn to despair
I try to grasp the fleeting moments
But all I grab is air
And it slips between my fingers
Not a moment does it linger
  Before it starts again
  I end up back here
  And turn back there
  Brief glimpses guide my way
I have no choice to stay
First blinding sunshine! Then torrential rain
  Those are the brief glimpses
As the earth shifts once again
