Family
My dog is furious at the world
he can't see straight
his legs are wobbly
and his senses too distracting.
the world spins
and he spins
and it makes such a ruckus,
too much for
his poor, small ears
to handle.
my dog is sad at the world
because he cannot see my true
colors
and sing with my mother
while she makes him food.
he wishes for these things
and i know deep inside
even as a poor,
innocent dog,
he cares.
and that is the reason we took him
away from the isolated world
inside the cage he used to live.
where no one ever noticed
that a beautiful soul
was hiding in.
and we took him as our own,
as a dog
and as a member
of our family.

My dog is speechless, he doesn't bark or ever listen, but his emotions, I have felt them. In my eyes, he is a human.
