Upside down clouds
floating across the sky
This life of mine so backwards
I'm trying not to cry
These words mean nothing
Burn this page
Iron bars
Across my cage
The rhythm of my heart
A slow steady beat
Don't know the answer
Can't I cheat?
The brightness that once shined
In these blue eyes
Went out when
You told those lies
Everyone's wearing
A fake smile
I find myself missing you
Every once and a while
I'm going numb with despair
Trying not to care
This life just isn't fair
