White Teeth
When the doors opened,
 my heart stopped.
We've been together for so long,
 I've always seen her beauty.
 But today was so different.

When the doors opened to the chapel,
all I saw were her sparkling white teeth.
Of course there was the really long and
 expensive wedding gown that hugged
 her curves so well.
The light makeup she wore made her
face look brighter and eyes bigger.
But all I cared about was her smile.

She was truly happy for the first time
in her life, and I gave her that happiness.
Five years of goofing off, cuddling, kissing,
 and smiling led towards today.

Her smile, it lit up the whole room.
As she approached, the smile began to blind the room
 full of friends and family.
I saw a tear form in her eye, knowing that
she wasn't upset about this at all.
She was just so overcome with joy.
I'm so glad that I can make the love of
my life smile as wide as the sea.

I wiped her tear away with my thumb
and whispered in her ear when she was
 next to me,
"You have the most beautiful smile, baby girl."
