That Single Star
That Single Star.
It shines by itself, but the view
Is in its surroundings.
Surroundings are the billions of light orbs
That make That Single Star
A part of something bigger.
Something seems right.
Together, they are stars that glisten in the sapphire sky.
Stars that would be nothing beautiful if alone.
Alone is the reality
For That Single Star’s life.
Because between each ball of light,
Lies trillions of vacant miles.
Miles away. How deceiving.
Maybe That Single Star twinkles to show
What is left of a plea for help.
Help from those who are in denial.
Denial of the possibility that
That Single Star
Might not even exist anymore.

Sometimes the way we see things isn't how it actually is. We shouldn't judge before seeing the big picture.
