The bitter endings
I am affected by the world,
The war that swirls around,
The pain etched world.
Why does it define me?
Why will it end us?
Paving history with broken dreams,
Bow down to eternal misery?
The light, so close but far
The shining glimpse of freedom
Where did it go?
Away, or hidden?
Forever or temporary?
Rescue us from the unseen horrors
Are we to far gone?
A boulevard of broken dreams,
A teardrop of eternal misery,
Rescue us I plead to…
Who?
