A Red Utopia
Crimson fire lit up her tortured eyes,
breathing bloodied mist onto the glass.
Her hands tied to a rusted sword,
tangled worries drifting away with the dust.
Lighting her way to an old beginning,
corpses lining her path with filthy promise.
Warmth, comfort, death were her friends,
as she struck her mistakes down with a mangled cry.
The hollowed mouths of dying suns,
turning her down with a flick of a hand,
Lost in a scarlet war of regret.
She shook her rotting head.
