Somewhere Over the Rainbow
We’re a tick, tick ticking time bomb.
Every move made, every step, syllable is one tock closer.
Teetering on the edge of madness,
making every spent second feel like memories lost.
Too close for comfort,
every moment a second owed.
Tock, tock tock,
tick goes the clock.
We’re winding down, as the
time goes down.
A rabbit hole in time
creates fear among us.
Where is the beginning?
Where is the end?
The middle is the only pursuit in danger.
the place on the Edge before
you fall,
the place before that last second when
life seems so simple, so incredibly
meaningless,
but yet here we are,
just winding down on the path
of the unknown, leading to
somewhere,
somewhere over the rainbow.
