A Child's Innocence

I must confess
every night I lay in bed
beaten by the memories that rush into my mind
making me sick with the sadness

How could someone so old,
act so young?
Taking away a child's innocence
with your cold rough hands,
tracing broken promises
and stupid lies
up and down my thighs.
Slowing stealing my childhood
with every inch you creep up
toward the sacred place of purity

that you stole from me.

I hate you.
Yes, you have been forgiven
but forgetting is far from complete.
You corrupted my kind body,
brushing away the childhood I once thought would last
forever,
with your not so gentle touch.
At the tender age of eight,
you took my precious porcelain frame

and you broke it.

I must confess,
even seven years later,
I cry myself to sleep,
wishing
I had my childhood back.
