Monsters and Marvel
Tis the women that we marvel
the ones to whom we love
that trick us into loving
and wear us like a glove
Tis the women that we marvel
that we drool over in our sleep
we give away our hearts
and tis our soul that they keep
Tis the women that we marvel
"I love you" they once said
But they are hidding something somewhere
like monsters under the bed.
Tis the women that we marvel
the sirens with their song
we are cast upon the rocks
we knew this path was wrong
And so, tis the monsters that we marvel
Angels locked out of heaven's gate
to know she doesn't love you
is to know it far too late.
