Phoenix
Hot like the sun and swift as the wind the magnificent bird soars,
high above the clouds surrounding itself in their fluffy embrace.
Its vibrant red feathers cover the light footed creature,
Its talons sharp enough to kill.
Nevertheless it is a kind, majestic bird,
releasing its powerful tear that brings life to the world.
Like a symbol of creation and hope,
it represents all that we can see, feel and touch.
A raging fire from deep within,
burning like a volcano only erupting when exposed to danger.
It remains invisible to the common eye,
for its decisive and precise movements make it the king of the sky.
With greatness in the world also comes despair,
and one day everything vanishes.
Age and time take down the weathered beast,
as it smolders to dark cold ashes.
A time for embracing the past and weeping for what has been lost,
gives way to a calm and quiet world.
At the darkness hour when all seems lost,
life reveals the power of hope.
From the ashes of the old life is revealed,
the Phoenix is reborn.
