To Scatter Your Ashes
I sink into your eyes
Bright as an ember clothed
In ash
And soot brushed
In snow
I reach to touch your flesh
Uncertain as first frost
And ice
To melt and leave
The lilies
Your chest is still
Like moaning memories
And all the
Creaking rocking chairs
Have gone silent
Will you fall on the mountain
Drift aimlessly as a ship
Lost in black sea
An explorer without a compass
As guide home?
