bliss
How strangely simple Hermione is; curled up
on a pillowed, rust colored window seat
Purring contently, with eyes tightly closed
Her dark chocolate brown head propped up
by a sage pillow, with petite, cream flowers scattered upon it
her dark tipped tail swishing back and forth lazily,
occasionally curling around her snow white body in an elegant arc
the autumn sunlight engulfs her in a sea of pale gold,
radiating off of her in a vivid aureole
In this moment I could see bliss;
see
feel
taste
Like clear, cool water
rushing over you on a sweltering summer day
Like rich, smooth chocolate
dissolving as it touches your tongue
yet so simple,
like a cat curled up
On a golden autumn day
