Living in a world of despair,
I find myself reaching up for the heavens,
this kind of agony
makes me feel like I am the rain.
For this I am living in,
a life of gloom.

Lodging in the world of the unknown
will make you realize
life is not always civil.
After all, God may only ask of you,
make sure that you always care.
Living in this,
a world of pure sorrow.

Residing in a world of misery
may make you want to go to war,
but please know
war may not always be right,
for soon,
you shall see this,
the light of life.
Occupying space in this,
this space of confessions.

The author's comments:

I was inspired to write this poem because I myself, have been through a lot of rough times. I hope that when readers read my poem they will truly understand how depression works. Also, I hope that readers who read my poem and can relate to my life, can realize that they are not the only ones out there in the world who feel despair in their life.
