My Best Friend
My best friend is dying.
I hate to think about it but I know its true.
He has trouble standing up and walking.
He can’t go up stairs as easily as he could.
He is losing control of his bladder.
My best friend is dying.
My best friend has the same birthday as me.
I hope he makes it to our next one.
I thought him surviving cancer once would have been enough.
My best friends has tumors all over his body.
I can feel them growing.
My best friend is dying and I know there’s nothing I can do.
That’s the scariest part.
My best friend still shows me the same affection that he always has.
I will miss his kisses and comfort when I sam sad.
I will miss running around the yard with him and throwing the tennis ball.
My best friends is dying and I know there’s nothing I can do.
I will just have to make his last years,
Months,
Weeks,
Days,
Hours,
Minutes,
Seconds,
Count.
My best friend is dying and I know there’s nothing I can do.
