My Life Is Hard
My life is hard.
It isn’t so easy to be me.
Mangled hair concealing the rest of my body,
The hardships of what I have to endure are too much.
Getting worked up is a daily occurrence.
Thinking I’ve seen something exciting can only lead to let
down.
Yes, you heard it right, I am beaten.
I am beaten almost every day with no end,
Only when I have let out a cry that I have seen the white light does it stop.
That is my moment of divinity.
The moment right as it stops,
As the heavens hear my angelic cry,
This is what I live for.
Life can be rough.
Being constrained and constricted takes its toll on my body.
I only wish to be set free.
The small amounts of joy I have are with others.
Not others like me, but different kinds of others.
The feeling of being around others who you know you should be with fills my
being with pure ecstasy.
Nothing is like it, being with them, but that is good.
I should only hope that I experience others like this in the future.
If they can look past the bountiful beatings,
And the horrendous hair that masks me,
Then I know I will be happy.
