Ending Imperium
Knock me down in my cage
Silence me and all my rage
Shut the door, kill my pride.
I am waiting to be death's bride.
You presume I am just like the rest
In your ignorance you think that's what's best.
Butcher the weak to hush their languid thoughts
Leave their carcass in their cages to rot.
You are comforted by the dimented, disturbed by the sane.
Your imperium isn't endless, you scorched your own fame.
Through all this talk I am hypocritical you see
I thought I was boundless; at once I was free.
I didn't know my own power was conquering my breath
I built the very bars that will enclose my own death.
Take this as a warning, don't end up like me.
Alter your motives or encaged you'll be.
