the witch

She stands on the stool
breathing calm
just waiting
the rope around her neck
rubbing and itching against her skin
what she did ?
you may wonder...
nothing
she is being hung
killed
murdered
for being something that she cannot control
for being her
she is judged without consideration
she's harmed no one
done no wrong
and yet
she is treated
like a serial killer
and all they have
to judge her with
are asumptions
guesses
she was no witch
for they cease to exist
in the end
the authorities are the devils
and she is merely an angel
