Bloodstained Teddy Bears
Artistic claws carved into walls of
Penknives stabbed into the ground
His mother screaming "mercy"
Stars collide into bursts of crimson
Satanic constellations fade into skin
Lucifer's cry stains his heart
Metallic paint coating burnt doorways
Ice cold windows shrouded with haze
Showers of fiery rain upon rooftops
Fate forsaken like humans destined to suffer
Time twisted like an eternity of radicles
Souls intertwined like putrescent swamp roots—
Even death can't tear them apart
Waves of paranoia inundate his mind
Drowned-out voices re-emerge from the grave
As dark innocence plagues his pneuma

I've always wanted to put a twist on a child's innocence. The bloodstained teddy bear in the title is a metaphor. I wrote this poem as I have been posting poems/prose of my own on my Instagram account (@ignited.flames). These poems are currently based on the theme of "Dark Innocence".
