Drunken Breath

Drunken breath broke a sober mind
and gave away to his hardest fights
and too many cigarettes for just one night
showered me just how little fight
was left
and just how much flight was.
And my heart broke as his was unware
that his drunk state showed more than he'd care to share.
But i hope he doesnt fear how I'll feel
because when I told him I loved him
I meant through it all.
And maybe I'm reading too much into things
And when he said this will lead into nothing
he knew more than my scattered brain ever did.
