The Blue Dress
A big box was labeled for me, I skipped and hopped and shouted with glee.
It was a dress bluer than the sky, so beautiful it would make you want to cry.
A horrible feeling crashed over when I realized it didn’t fit; I grow every year and she must have forgotten it.
Most take pity on me because they see I’ve forced myself in it;still others bully me, but why they do this I cannot see.

This poem is part of a set of three I did for an example of research for a project in school. My topic of research was how abandonment affects children and what are the solutions. I got a 100 on the project :) It was one of my teachers that suggested I submit it.
