Breathless

The air is thick,
The kind that makes it hard to breathe.
It fills my lungs with every inhale,
making it difficult to exhale.
It is almost as hard to breathe as when I am with you.
When you are around I feel pressure on my chest,
I cannot say what I need.
Like the air in my lungs is too thick,
and It will not release.
You are like the humid air in the summer,
you come and go like the breeze,
the kind that leaves me breathless.
