My Last Breath

From the forest in your eyes

To the singed wings on your back

From the greedy lips I kissed

To the rough hands I held

I loved you-

From the flaws in your heart

To the sadness you held so intimately

From the awkward amble you called a walk

To the putrid cologne that lingered on my clothes

I loved you-

From the moment I met you

To the electricity flowing through our touch

From the first time our lips touched

To the hugs we shared

I loved you-

From the nights I laid in bed alone

To the aching moments I waited

From the alcohol I used to numb the pain

To the way I cried for you

I loved you-

From the way you held me on my last moments

To the way you whispered my favorite song in my ear

From your tears dropping on my face

To my last breath

I loved you.
