Like Paint
As these tears accumulate on the lower lids of my eyes,
they concentrate on each lash until the weight is too much.
It drips,
trickling down my cheeks,
draining the life from me,
every drop taking my beauty with it.
Until there is nothing.
What is left is a lifeless version of myself,
like looking at a blank canvas,
before you dip the brush in paint,
and stroke it across.
The beauty is within the paint,
that makes the canvas come to life.
